Thunder Dome Recording Studio was established in 1988 by Juno Award Winning Eddie Bullen. To date Eddie has over 150 full length albums to his credit and counting. Always on the look out for new innovative artists to add to the Thunder Dome family as we pride ourselves on diversity. We connect with artists from various genres and work with them to create new concepts.
Over the years we have worked with artists who have gone on to world wide acclaim. Artists like Canadian Songwriter Fefe Dobson, Glenn Lewis, Deborah Cox and Liberty Silver have all recorded at Thunder Dome. We have also worked with established artists that were looking to add something different to either their production or song writing like as Oleta Adams, Anslem Douglas, David Rodick,Carl Jacobs, Toots Maytels, Bryon Lee and the Dragonaires to name a few.
Eddie’s collaborative spirit has led to fusing different genres of music an example of this, was his intermingling with Trinidadian Songwriter Ian Wiltshire which blended Soca and House music which spawned Ed-ian Cartel Dance Track entitled “ Mitch “which went to number 15 on the Canadian dance charts.
Thunder Dome Sounds has helped to launch the careers of several artists in the Smooth Jazz genre Artist like, Liberty Silver, Demo Cates, Paul Knight, Sascha Williamson, Shaune Ann Fuez, Marisa Lindsay, Kingsley Ettienne, and NEWA have garnered several nominations for the Smooth Jazz Awards all Thunder Dome Releases.
Gospel artists such as George Banton, Aaden Church, Nana Mclean and Selections have all experienced success, All of whom were nominated for Juno Awards with Thunder Dome. With an ear to the ground for every genre of music, Hip Hop is no exception. Eddie has worked with Canadian Hip Hop Pioneer Maestro Fresh Wes which garnered Gold Record Sales in Canada, as well as Freddy Will, Blessed, and Dudsymil.
Eddie was recently nominated in early 2011 for a Grammy Award for producing a track written by Freddy Will called “Future” part of a compilation in the Children’s Book Category. Thunder Dome has also worked produced a half dozen concept albums for Solitudes and Hallmark to create nature sound recordings which is widely distributed in many specialty gift shops across North America.
Thunder Dome Sounds believe strongly in nurturing the next generation and has done so since 1992. Thunder Dome has been part of high school students co-op program which helps youth nurture their dreams of being a part of the entertainment industry.
